Rusty Ashby, a Virginia native of Staunton and Verona has spent his life in the state, outside of his time in the Navy.
Rusty launched his career in the trucking industry beginning in customer service where he developed a love and passion to care for each client. He rose to VP Sales and Marketing for Wilson Trucking Corporations. With an inherent love for politics, Rusty was elected to the Augusta County Board of Supervisors where he served as chairman until 1998. In his tenure in the political field, Rusty learned the importance of public speaking and won the district toastmasters speaking contest. He founded “New Beginnings,” Staunton’s Correctional Center’s chapter of Toastmasters International and first prison Toastmasters Club in Virginia as part of his affiliation. Rusty transitioned into the financial industry in 2006 and developed a great passion to navigate clients through “the retirement puzzle,” working with clients develop both current and future financial plans. He holds the FINRA series 7, 66 held through LPL and life and health licenses. His philosophy is everyone should have a financial advisor no matter where they are in life, believing everyone should have help in planning and or managing their financial future.
Out of the office, Ashby enjoys playing golf, spending time with my kids, grandkids and wife.
Rusty is based at our Staunton office. 117 South Lewis Street, Suite 100. Staunton, VA 24401.
